Loni clinic shut down after ‘doc’ running it found to have only B.Pharm certificate

Ghaziabad: The health department shut down a clinic at Vikas Kunj colony in the Loni border area after the man running it was found to have only a B.Pharm certificate.Ankit, who identified himself as a qualified doctor and treated a range of patients, failed to produce an MBBS certificate during a search carried out by the health department after a tip-off. A case was also registered against him at Loni Border police station.Dr Pankaj Rakesh, the nodal officer at the district health department, said a notice was served to Ankit during an inspection in June, but on Thursday he again failed to produce registration papers and educational certification.“Apart from his board results, the only other certificate that was presented was of B.Pharm, which qualifies him to work at a pharmaceutical store but does not authorise him to prescribe medications,” Rakesh said.ACP Ankur Vihar Bhaskar Verma said an FIR was registered against Ankit under the IPC Section 420 (cheating), relevant sections of Indian Medical Council and Sanyukt Praant Chikitsa Adhiniyam in Loni Border Police station. The case was registered under IPC as the first notice was issued in June when BNS had not come into effect, police saidNearly 100 such clinics have been identified across the district over the past year.

RPSC questions state health dept for issuing incorrect disability certificates

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission found numerous discrepancies in disability certificates issued by the state health department. Some certificates, like those of Jairam Gurjar, Amitabh Sharma, Ram Bharosi Gurjar, and Mukesh Chand Luhar, were revealed to be inaccurate upon re-examination. RPSC has called for disciplinary action and assured measures to avoid future inaccuracies.

BMC clarifies over delay in obtaining birth, death certificate

The Civic Registration System (CRS) for Birth & Death Registration by BMC has been undergoing a comprehensive revamp since Friday. The system, initially introduced in 2016, is undergoing upgrades which have caused temporary technical delays. Post-upgrade, citizens will be able to access certificates online.
