Ghaziabad, was arrested on Thursday. Chowdhary is an accomplice of dreaded
gangster
Kale, who had engineered the fatal attack on cloth merchant Arshi Malik in an Indirapuram society in March. According to police, Shabir provided logistics to Kale in the attack.
“Earlier, we were told that Chowdhary will be visiting EDM mall in Kaushambi, sometime on Wednesday evening,” said Salmantaj Patil, SP City. “But we later got to know that he is at Ghazipur. So we laid a trap and arrested him from near

“Shabir Chowdhary carried a reward of Rs 15,000 on his head and was the main accused in the murder of milk trader Zakir in September in Sahibabad and for murders of Arshi Malik and his brother Amzad. Earlier, he was even booked under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) by Delhi Police,” added Patil.
The police further claims that Chowdhary was involved in drug deals and is a major supplier of drugs in jails including Tihar. “On questioning, he revealed that he is involved in supplying drugs in high security jails including Tihar. So we will be soon sharing the information with our Delhi counterpart,” said Patil.
