Fourth accused in exec murder case arrested

Ghaziabad: A man was arrested on Saturday for his alleged involvement in the murder of the national sales head of a steel company earlier this month. He had a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his arrest, officials said.The accused, Ameer is from Pulia Birhammpuri village in Delhi.“A team was conducting checks at the 2/5 culvert in Vaishali when Ameer approached from Indirapuram on a bike. When the police asked him to stop, he did not comply; instead, he tried to escape,” said an official.“As police chased him, Ameer fell off his bike and opened fire and was injured in a retaliatory firing. Subsequently, the police recovered his bike and an illegal pistol from his possession,” added the official. During the interrogation, Ameer said that he was involved in a robbery and murder in Shalimar Garden, which police deduced to be the case of Vinay Tyagi.On May 4, Tyagi was returning from his office in Gurgaon when assailants robbed and killed him. Two accused have already been arrested in the case, while one was shot dead in a police encounter.
