Ghaziabad: Around 20 government healthcare and wellness centres in Ghaziabad will see their names being forwarded for the Prime Minister's awards for excellence this year.
According to a letter sent by the Union ministry of health and family welfare to the chief secretary in the state, the districts have been asked to prepare a list of departments and officials performing well in public administration.
Dr Bhavtosh Shankdhar, chief medical officer, Ghaziabad, said, “We have received the letter following which a list of achievements of primary health centres, wellness centres along with district hospitals is being compiled under the Swastha Bharat Mission. A committee has been appointed for compiling achievements.”
As per the document of the PM’s award for excellence 2022, government departments are categorised under three categories. The first category of awards will be the work done for promoting clean water through Har Ghar Jal Yojana. The second category will be recognizing works done for promoting Swastha Bharat Mission through health and wellness centres. The third category will be recognizing best practices in the field of quality education with an equitable and inclusive classroom environment through Samagra Shiksha.
The officials said that the community health care centres in Modinagar, Muradnagar and Dasna were awarded with state Kayakalp awards in 2021 for quality and efficient patient care and also for maintaining hygiene, and proper biomedical waste disposal. As a recognition of good work, the award will comprise a trophy, a scroll and an incentive of Rs 20 lakh.
