2 held for attacking couple over wages in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD: Two persons were arrested on Friday for allegedly stabbing a couple in Indirapuram. The accused purportedly attacked the couple over non payment of dues for some repair work done two weeks ago.
According to cops, the accused are Abhi alias Asmit and his wife Kavya, both residents of Ghaziabad.
On Thursday afternoon, the duo attacked the couple following a heated argument over a payment issue.The victims, Ravikant Sharma (52) and his wife Geeta (50) are residents of Abhay Khand-1 in Indirapuram.
Vivek Yadav, DCP (trans hindon), said, “Abhi and his wife had worked at Sharma’s house two weeks ago, but they said they were not paid. On Thursday, both went to the couple’s house and attacked them with a knife and hammer. They locked the house from outside after taking away cash and jewellery.”
A neighbor said when they went to Sharma’s house, they found Ravikant bleeding from the abdomen while Geeta was lying unconscious in a pool of blood. The victims were then taken to a private hospital.
