YAMUNANAGAR: The International Planned Parenthood Federation has revisited its plan and has moved into a new strategic phase with five priority areas popularly known as the five As: Adolescent, AIDS, Abortion, Access and Advocacy.

YAMUNANAGAR: The International PlannedParenthood Federation has revisited its plan and has moved into a new strategicphase with five priority areas popularly known as the five As: Adolescent, AIDS,Abortion, Access and Advocacy. These observations were made here on Saturday byMrs Manisha Bajaj, Vice President, Family Planning Association of India at the12th annual general body meeting of the FPAI Yamuna Nagar branch. The meetingwas attended by 49 members of the branch.Welcoming the participants,the president of the branch Dr H S Chauhan briefed about overall achievements ofobjectives set for the year 2003. Dr Chauhan mentioned that the branch benefited1518 people including 41 non-scalpel vasectomies, 267 tubectomies, 97 Copper Tsand 1113 couples from other family planning methods. Besides these 1666 mothersand children were benefited under immunization programme.On thisoccasion, the volunteers of the branch passed a congratulation message to DrNina Puri on her being elected as the president of International PlannedParenthood Federation. The members of the branch executive committeefelicitatedMrs Manisha Bajaj on her being elected as vice-president of theFPAI.
