Woman fights off snatchers, gets back bag

NEW DELHI: A brave incident was reported on Thursday where a woman got back at the thieves who tried to snatch her bag near K N Katju Marg in Rohini. The woman kicked his bike and held him by the collar to take back her belongings.
The woman, Ritu Arya, was on her way back from a market in Sector 16 when the incident happened. “I was carrying a purse and mobile phone in one hand while shopping bags in the other.The youth, Abhimanyu Rana, came from behind and snatched the bag from me.”
Arya (45) said she managed to kick the bike despite falling down.
“Rana lost balance and fell. He then tried to escape but returned to take his bike when I caught his collar and slapped him,” she said. The onlookers gathered around caught Rana (22) and handed him over to the cops.
