Nagma’s husband, Dildaar Ali, is in jail while her brother-in-laws, Kismat, Ibne and Nihal, lived together with their father Arshad Ali. Nagma had frequent brawls with Kismat and Arshad. At the time of the incident, Ibne was in Meerut while 7-year-old Nihal was sleeping in the same room.
The incident was reported from lane number 5 in Nand Nagri. Around 4.30am on Tuesday, neighbours heard 70-year-old Arshad scream that Kismat had killed Nagma and her daughter. On reaching the house, they found Arshad tied up with a rope while Nagma and her daughter were dead in another room. Nihal was found sleeping in the same room. Arshad told police that Kismat had attacked the victims and when he tried to resist him, Kismat tied him up. Police have sent the bodies for post mortem.
