NEW DELHI: The

water

supply in the capital may still be impacted in spite of Delhi getting higher volumes of Yamuna water. Delhi Jal Board on Tuesday issued an advisory to the residents in the capital to store and make judicious use of water in the coming days.

The water purification capacity of the three water treatment plants has been impacted due to high turbidity, garbage and other floating material coming in with the river water. "Due to high turbidity in raw water from the Yamuna, pumping from Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla Plant was affected on Tuesday and is likely to remain affected till the situation improves," the

advisory statement reads.

The Delhi Jal Board advisory said that water will be available at low pressure in some areas of central Delhi, north Delhi, parts of South Delhi, part of west Delhi and in the whole of New Delhi Municipal Council area.
