i have done the same," he said. umed singh, however, did not disclose details of the property. "after the tehervi (13th day of mourning), i will sift through the papers and calculate," he said. on the question of who would head the trust, umed singh replied: "whoever was close to her will be part of it. her family members will be trustees. referring to allegations of his involvement in the death of his wife, umed singh said: "after a woman's death, suspicion naturally falls on the husband. the police have interrogated me and i have told them that i have nothing to hide. i fear the people who have killed phoolan will also kill me," he claimed. when asked if he suspected anybody, umed singh said he did not, but he would not rule out the involvement of a family member. "the recovery of arms from my house proves this." refuting claims of phoolan's lawyer kamini jaiswal, umed singh said: "who told you that she was planning to keep me out of her will? jaiswal was never her lawyer. a supreme court lawyer, s c maheshwari, was our lawyer."
