NEW DELHI: A trader at Azadpur Mandi was shot dead by two men on Tuesday. The man used to work as a munim with a wholesale dealer of cucumbers at the market. One man has been arrested.

was registered. The matter was reported around 3.40am when the victim, Akash, and his employer Vijay Kumar

got into an argument with one Mohit, his father Shri Ram and his cousin over sharing an encroached plot of land at the B-block of the Azadpur wholesale market.

During this, Akash had got into a scuffle with Mohit, suddenly his cousin pulled out a pistol and opened fire at Akash hitting him on the chest. Locals managed to catch hold of Mohit, but his cousin and his father managed to escape.

Police say that a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused cousin and Shri Ram. Meanwhile, Akash's body was handed over to the family members after an autopsy. TNN
