NEW DELHI: As early trends from the election commission on Saturday indicated a crushing defeat for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, party's Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter) quickly captured attention of the netizens.

Maliwal shared a painting depicting the cheerharan (disrobing) episode of Draupadi from the epic Mahabharata, which resonated with her followers, garnering over 53,000 views and more than 2,000 reposts.
Maliwal, a staunch critic of AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, has been increasingly vocal about her discontent with the party’s leadership.
On February 3, she was detained by Delhi Police after staging a protest outside Kejriwal's residence, demanding action on the government's failure to clean the Yamuna River.
In the past, Maliwal has leveled serious allegations against Kejriwal, accusing him of orchestrating an assault on her by his aide Bibhav Kumar last year.
A long-time associate of Kejriwal, having worked with him since 2006 and served as the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, Maliwal’s stance against her former ally has grown increasingly critical.
As per the latest trends, the BJP is leading in 46 out of 70 constituencies, while AAP trails with a lead in 24.
The results will determine if AAP’s dominance in Delhi remains intact or if the BJP is poised to return to power for the first time since 1998. The Delhi election, held on February 5, saw a voter turnout of 60.54%, with 1.55 crore eligible voters casting their ballots.
