Staff member commits suicide at Congress headquarters in Delhi

A man working as a help at the Indian National Congress headquarters at 24 Akbar Road in Delhi allegedly committed suicide at the servant quarter on Sunday.

NEW DELHI: A man working as a help at the Indian National Congress headquarters at 24 Akbar Road in Delhi allegedly committed suicide at the servant quarter on Sunday.
The man identified as Prakash was found hanging with an electric wire in his room. Police have recovered a suicide note from him in which he mentioned that he was depressed over a marital discord.
The incident came to fore when the man’s younger brother called the police saying that he had locked himself in the room since July 17 and was not responding to the calls.

There was also a foul smell coming from the room. The cops broke open the door and found him hanging from the ceiling fan. The body had also decomposed.
The cops sent the for autopsy. It was found that Prakash was addicted to drinking and was depressed that his wife had separated from him along with his children.
Police have found some bottles and the man’s mobile phone which have been sent for forensic analysis.
