NEW DELHI: The standing committee chairman of South Corporation Radhey Shyam Sharma has filed a petition in Delhi high court on August 20 against the AAP government for release of dues. "They are trying to weaken the civic bodies," Sharma said.
"We are not asking for any additional fund. This is our share of money. I have filed the petition after my attempts failed to get any reply from their end," said Sharma.
In education, the corporation claims that Rs 120 crore was deducted in the year 2014-15 and the corporation had to pay from its pocket for the expenditure.
"The corporation has a share of Rs 473 crore under education and we have received Rs 353 crore till date. During the time of former Delhi CM Sheila Dixit 70% of the expenditure was paid by the state government and 30% by municipal corporation. After Kejriwal came in to power the share was decreased to 57%," Sharma said.
