Shubha Mudgal’s soulful thumri and dadra renditions regale Dilliwallahs

A three-day thumri festival by Sahitya Kala Parishad concluded recently with performances from artistes, including Shubha Mudgal, Indresh Mishra and Sunanda Sharma. The event, which witnessed some rare compositions by eminent artistes, came to a close with Mudgal’s performance, who presented thumri and dadra compositions at the event. Monica Priyadarshini, Secretary, Sahitya Kala Parishad, said, “We have been organising the thumri festival for the past many years. Since we are doing these events after the pandemic, we are trying to organise as many events as possible to cover up the gap of the past two years. Going forward, we have planned many festivals and hope that we’ll continue to get all the love and support of the audience. ”
