SHO transferred after sting op

GHAZIABAD: A Ghaziabad sub-inspector, who was formerly chief of Vijaynagar police station, has been transferred to Bulandshahr, following a purported sting operation, claiming to have videotaped him in a compromising position with a woman, to whom he later allegedly paid money for her services.
Although no case has yet been registered, Ghaziabad senior superintendent of police L Ravi Kumar confirmed this, saying, "We have received this complaint against Aphal Singh.He has already been transferred and the matter is being investigated. We will take due action if the investigation provides evidence of any illegal activity."
Aphal Singh, who was purportedly videotaped when he was Vijaynagar police station chief, was currently posted in the complaints cell at district police headquarters.
