NEW DELHI: The SHO of New Usmanpur police station in northeast district, Sushil Sharma was suspended. He along with a local Congress leader was allegedly found involved in land grabbing case in the area.
According to the police, Sharma along with Congress leader, Nathu Singh was trying to grab the land in Brahmpuri area. The land belongs to Dr Rameshwar Dayal, chief medical officer of Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, who had filed a complaint against Singh at New Usmanpur police station.
But despite repeated attempts, the SHO did not act on the complaint of Dayal and kept delaying any action after which Dayal complaint to senior officer.
An independent enquiry found that the SHO, Sushil Sharma was helping Nathu Singh to grab the land of Dayal.
Police said that Singh also owns a school in Brahmpuri area and Dayal's land is adjacent to the school run by Singh. The SHO has been suspended till pending enquiry into the case completes, said a senior police officer.
