Amid exceedingly poor Air Quality Index and a cold wave, Delhiites savour basking in the sunshine at various parks across the city. The winter season bestows an entirely distinctive charm to this city of dreams.

As temperatures plummet, sunrays become the season's salvation, and Delhites wholeheartedly treasure their sunbathing sessions and dining arrangements. Consequently, despite a very poor AQI (362), people are embracing the picnic atmosphere in Delhi.


Sanket Sinha and Upasana visited Lodhi Garden with their four-year-old son seeking winter sunshine and its brilliant rays, remarking, "We came from Vasant Kunj to enjoy winter, for 3-4 hrs we forgot about AQI and poor air."


When Delhites contemplate picnics, the venues that instantly spring to mind are Lodhi Garden, Nehru Park, and India Gate.


Schoolchildren and pre-wedding photographers are likewise occupied beneath the sunshine. Delhites from every stratum of society can be spotted with picnic hampers and mats at hand, ready with recreational plans at the parks.
