A video showing a man celebrating his birthday by cutting a papaya instead of a birthday cake has gone viral on social media.
While this can be a fine idea for those who don't like cake or want to try something different on their special day, many won't agree.
The video by an Instagram user dr.kavithaajay, which has over 5 million views, has divided the internet. While her simple caption read "Organic Fruit cake. Happy birthday dear Ajay. Stay blessed abundantly", it got mixed reviews from people.
Many netizens expressed disappointment, with one user commenting, "Successfully ruined a special occasion," while another stated, "I would rather not celebrate." Some were more emphatic, with one user expressing, "I'd cry," and another frustratedly noting, "The whole point of a cake being a cake is missed."
