Road closures near Sangam Vihar to disrupt key routes till April 3
New Delhi: Traffic movement in parts of south Delhi is set to be affected over the coming days due to ongoing construction work in Sangam Vihar, Delhi Traffic Police said in an advisory.The work, being carried out by irrigation and flood control department, involves the construction of an approach road and side drain stretching from H-Block, Shiv Mandir, to the Karni Singh Shooting Range. Authorities have cautioned commuters to expect congestion and delays across key connecting routes.According to the advisory, several arterial roads will bear the brunt of the disruption. These include the MB Road towards Faridabad, Karni Singh Shooting Range Road and Pul Prahladpur Road heading towards Faridabad. Notably, Karni Singh Shooting Range Road will remain closed till April 3, forcing a diversion of traffic through alternate corridors. Diversion points have been set up near Karni Singh Shooting Range red light on MB Road and close to the main gate of the shooting range.To ease the impact, commuters have been advised to use Pul Prahladpur Road towards Surajkund and other adjoining routes. Traffic personnel will be deployed at key intersections to manage flow and assist motorists navigating the diversions.Delhi Traffic Police has urged residents to plan their journey, avoid the affected stretches where possible and follow on-ground directions.
