NEW DELHI: A 32-year-old restaurant owner committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house in east Delhi on Thursday night. According to the police, the incident came to light at 7 pm after a PCR call was made from one of the victim's family members. Police officials said that the family of deceased Aman Gandhi (32) found him hanging at his house in Ram Nagar area of Krishna Nagar.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The police said that Gandhi's wife was not at home at the time of the incident.
"The deceased used to run a restaurant in Noida's Sector 18 and was not doing well in his business. We have recovered a suicide note in which Gandhi has mentioned about his losses in the business. However, he has blamed no one for this extreme step,'' said Shankar Dash, DCP (east).
