His achievement was lauded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who tweeted: “Congratulations to Priyavrata for this feat. His achievement will serve as a source of inspiration for many.”



Tenali Pariksha is conducted under

Shri Kanchi Veda Vedanta Shastra Sabha

. The Sabha conducts shastric exams every six months in Byaya, Mimamsa, Vyakarana, Advaita and Veda Bhashya. Priyavrata studies all Vyakarana Maha Granthas from Sri Mohana Sharma.

“This is a remarkable feat achieved by a 16-year-old. It is difficult for scholars who are 40-50 years to clear this 14-step exam of shastras,” said Ramesh Bhardwaj, HoD of DU’s Sanskrit department.
