NEW DELHI: The KN Katju Marg police station was declared the best in Delhi, while the police stations in Malviya Nagar and Khyala secured the second and third rank, respectively, in an audit conducted by
Delhi Police.
The results were declared in the presence of LG
Anil Baijal during Delhi Police’s 72nd Raising Day parade at Kingsway Camp on Friday. The parameters for judging included service, people friendliness and infrastructure.
A total of 46 policemen were also presented with the President Medal of Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
LG Baijal emphasised on strengthening the community outreach programs of Delhi Police and asked cops to focus on modernisation and technology.
Apart from the various contingents, Delhi Police showcased its mobile cyber lab. Contingents from Maharashtra Police, UP Police and Haryana Police also marched along with Delhi Police contingents. Baijal also congratulated the force for its security arrangements during the Republic Day parade.
The Police Medal for gallantry was awarded to DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, ACPs Lalit Mohan Negi, Hridaya Bhushan, Ramesh Chander Lamba, Attar Singh, and Rajinder Kumar, inspector Ravinder Kumar Tyagi and SI Sukhbir Singh.
The President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service was presented to Special CP (Crime) Satish Golcha, Additional CPs Kamal Kant Vyas, Surender Kumar Dahiya and ACP Rajender Singh and Sandeep Pali.
