Delhi: Plasma therapy no magic bullet, say AIIMS doctors

NEW DELHI: Initial findings from the

trials

at AIIMS to assess the efficacy of convalescent plasma therapy for

Covid-19 patients

have arrived. It shows that the therapy does not reduce the risk of death due to the infection by the novel coronavirus.


The institute completed a randomised control trial to assess the efficacy of plasma therapy recently with two groups of 15 Covid-19

patients

each.
