the magistrate put the matter up for november 19 for discussion and arguments. her lawyers s c sagar and praveen sharma told the magistrate that most of the chargesheet had been based on the disclosure statement of the prime accused sher singh rana alias pankaj alias sheru. even though the names of umed singh and six other figured in the chargesheet, they have not been put in the list of the accused to be tried. apart from umed singh, six others whom munni wants tried are: umed's nephew santosh, hardware shop owner in roorkee pankaj kalra, surender singh, kovind batra, phoolan devi's eklavya sena unit chief uma kashyap and her husband vijay kashyap. munni requested the court to summon and try all of them along with 11 others who have been chargesheeted and are in judicial custody. delhi police had chargesheeted 11 people, including prime accused sher singh rana, accusing them of murdering phoolan to avenge the 1981 behmai massacre in which she had allegedly killed a number of upper caste thakurs.
