Brawl at Hyatt in Delhi: Ashish Pandey has realty, liquor trade stakes

LUCKNOW: Hailing from a very affluent political family, former BSP MP’s son Ashish Pandey is into real estate and also has stakes in

liquor

business and toll tax collection work on some highway stretches in Lucknow. Ashish completed his schooling from Marshall school in Dehradun and then did his Masters in Business Administration from Australia.


The 43-year-old Ashish’s father Rakesh Pandey had been Bahujan Samaj Party MP from Ambedkarnagar while his elder brother Ritesh Pandey is currently the sitting BSP MLA from Jalalpur in Ambedkarnagar. Ashish’s wife Kamna Pandey is a social-worker and also an animal rights activist.

While his father Rakesh Pandey was not reachable, even though TOI tried calling him multiple times, his brother Ritesh said he got to know about the incident from a reporter. “He is very disciplined and mannered fellow, he has been abroad and was very good in studies, he can’t do such an act,” claimed Ritesh, adding that Ashish has never ever even been booked on charges of 151 CrPc.

Senior police officials said that no criminal case is pending against Ashish in Lucknow, but we are verifying if his name has ever figured in records of Ambedkarnagar police.

UP DGP O P Singh said that three teams of special task force have been formed to nab Ashish. “We have got vital information about his movement.We are not going to give political colour to this incident, whoever he may be,” the DGP said.
