The Sub-National Immunisation Day (SNID) was followed by a five-day House-to-House (HTH) 'Search & Immunize Activity' from December 11 to December 15.

This marked the first time the program operated in a decentralized manner, directly overseen by district magistrates and chief district medical officers who handled manpower, logistics, vaccine distribution, and booth locations.

Booths were set up at various locations, including health facilities, metro and railway stations, religious places, schools, and government/private institutions.

Two drops of Oral Polio Vaccine (bOPV) were administered to children under five at 5,836 booths, with a total of 608,664 children vaccinated.

The subsequent HTH activity aims to reach over 50 lakh households and vaccinate an estimated 18 lakh children who may have been missed during the initial campaign.
