Opposition parties slam Centre for Sanjay Singh's arrest

Opposition parties have criticized the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), calling it an attempt by the BJP to silence a strong and emerging leader. Congress leader Digvijaya Singh condemned the arrest, accusing the BJP of using the ED as a political weapon. Other party leaders also condemned the arrest, stating that it was an attempt to suppress the opposition's voice. Congress has remained silent on the matter, possibly due to the complaint made by its Delhi unit against the Kejriwal government in the Delhi liquor scam.

It is learnt the Congress is in a quandary since the Delhi liquor scam was a complaint from the party's Delhi unit against the Kejriwal government.
