NEW DELHI: Zomato customer voiced their frustration on Monday after their order was incorrectly fulfilled. The individual had placed an order for a vegetarian dish but instead received momos containing meat. The customer took issue with this mistake, particularly given the timing of the incident during the Navratri festival.

A customer took to social media platform 'X' to express their dissatisfaction with a recent food delivery experience. The individual posted a series of images, tagging Zomato in the process. The pictures showed a sealed food package with a 'non-veg' label affixed using tape.

The customer included a screenshot of their original order. The image revealed that they had specifically requested vegetarian 'pan-fried momo', 'veg moburg' and a soft drink from a momo's restaurant.



“Hello @Wowmomo4u, @zomatocare @zomato, I’m pure vegetarian and I ordered veg things but I got all nonveg items from your outlet and the bad things is Navratri going on how you can make this big mistake, there is clearly mention item detail,” reads the caption of the post.

Zomato has assured a swift resolution to a customer's complaint following a recent post. The company responded, stating, "Hi Akash, this is one big mix-up. It's very serious and certainly not what we stand for. Mind sharing the order ID via DM so that we can resolve it ASAP."

In response to the situation, the restaurant issued an apology, expressing their regret for the inconvenience caused to the customer. The company stated, "Dear Akash! We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We would never want something like this to be happen. Requesting you to please share your invoice and contact details at crmsupport@wowmomo.com so that we can get in touch with you."
