Non-collegiate women’s board gets over 450 applications
NEW DELHI:
Most of the applicants who applied to colleges with 90 to 95% aggregate said that they wanted to pursue additional courses which will add to their resume while pursuing their bachelor’s degree. While BCom (Hons) aspirants want to apply for articleship, BA (Prog) aspirants choose skill training classes or computer science programmes for job prospects.
Anju Gupta, officiating director of NCWEB said that that the cutoffs are expected to drop significantly by over 2 to 3% by the next few lists. NCWEB offers 12,000 seats in undergraduate courses.
NCWEB received maximum applications for Miranda House centre which has the highest cutoff with 88% for BA (Prog) and 90% for BCom (H), with over 30 applications. It was followed by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College and Shri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce which received around 22 to 23 applications. The numbers are expected to multiply when the next few cutoff lists are declared.
