No admission under sports quota at KMC
NEW DELHI: There is a bad news for all the 1,400 students who had applied for admission under the sports quota at the Kirori Mal College. The college administration has decided not to admit any students under the sport category this year. The decision was taken after the college failed to get a select list of the centralized trials and the university administration stating the university would not approve any admission done outside the centralized trials.
"Since the teachers didn't participate in the process, I couldn't verify the certificates of the 1,400 students.

The only thing I could was to send the complete list to the university, which I already have,'' said principal, Bhim Sen Singh.
Meanwhile, the committee conducting the centralized trials sent back the list stating the first shortlisting is to be done by the college and 1,400 is a huge list. "I know the students will be disappointed, but this is in their best interest. Because even if I admit the students on our own, their admission won't get university approval and they have to suffer any way,'' Singh added.
