HYDERABAD: Gutsy girl Nisha Sharma’s valour, in getting her groom and his mother arrested for demanding more dowry a few hours before her wedding was to take place on May 11, may soon be seen on celluloid.
A filmmaker from the US, Susan Wales, intends to make a film on the Delhi girl who has become a national celebrity after the incident.
Susan Wales, who participated in the Animation India 2003 meet organised in Hyderabad by Nasscom, told Times News Network that a friend had fixed up a meeting with the 21-year-old Nisha Sharma in Delhi next week.

But Nisha herself would not replay her role on the screen. ‘‘We will cast an actress who is suitable. We will begin with attempting to ask Aishwarya Rai to do the role,’’ Susan Wales said. The film would either be made for television or the silver screen.
Susan Wales has particularly been disturbed about the dowry system in India. She lives in Los Angeles and is an author, speaker, producer, radio personality and animation writer. She is one of the ‘Voices of Faith’ for Lawson Falle Greeting cards. Though a strong votary of love and romance, Susan prefers arranged marriages like they happen in India.
