the evening saw the presence of a number of cricketing stars -- present and past -- from the state. after the formal function in which gift vouchers were handed over to the two stars by the president ddca arun jaitley, it was time for the informal part of the evening to take over -- when drinks and snacks did the rounds. amongst those seen discussing the various aspects of cricket were the delhi state captain vijay dahia, pace bowler amit bhandari, batsman mithun minhas, former delhi captain prem bhatia, former indian all-rounder and now umpire yashpal sharma, chairman indian oil corporation and director ddca m a pathan and dc police (frro) pradip bhardwaj, amongst others.
