Neglected street nightmare near key Delhi offices

Commuters face persistent issues on the neglected street near Del... Read More
NEW DELHI: Six months traversed through summer and monsoon, and now winter has commenced, but the thoroughfare behind the old Police Headquarters and Public Works Department Headquarters remains a nightmare for commuters.

An exposed hazardous cavity was shielded by a Delhi Police's barricade. Construction work on a Nullah ceased numerous times and street vendors are vending foodstuffs and sundry items near the open drain, risking their lives.

Numerous luxurious vehicles visiting PWD HQ or Old PHQ have sustained damage due to the deplorable road conditions, emanating a foul stench of sewage water.

It is bewildering how civic authorities disregard this street encompassed by the Indian School Of Public Administration (IIPA), School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Police Head Quarter and PWD HQ.

Students, Lawyers, police, government employees and commuters from all professional sectors traverse this thoroughfare.
