NEW DELHI: Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, BJP MP from West Delhi, has adopted Jharoda in Najafgarh to develop it as a model village under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. He is the fourth city MP to adopt a village. Besides roads, the other key problems are drinking water and the sewer system. “We will first make provisions for water supply and sewerage. We are preparing a detailed action plan for its development,” said Verma.

The MP, who has also adopted Daulatpur, said though only one village can be adopted under the scheme, he has sent both proposals to the Centre. “I can develop the second village from the MP funds,” he said.
