NEW DELHI: Delhi Police are hot on the MMS trail. Investigators have tracked down eight buyers of the MMS clip, including two from the city, and are likely to step up their search for those who put up CDs of the clip for sale on an Internet portal.
The computers used by the buyers have been seized and the electronic records confirm the "sale" and "purchase".
The portal is also likely to be scrutinised further as the police are checking whether safeguards which screen pornographic content were functioning.
The persons who bought the clip will be questioned. Senior Delhi Police officials confirmed that they had already spoken to the two Delhiites who bought the clip. They will continue interrogation on Tuesday. As for the other six buyers, the police have their addresses.
CDs of the MMS clip had been put up for sale on the website on November 27. According to officials running the website, they learned about the sale of the CDs on November 29. "We promptly removed the person who had put the clip on sale through the website from the e-marketplace," said a website official.
