Senior AAP leaders Ashutosh and Sanjay Singh claimed that this was a ploy to destabilise the party's government in Delhi.
Ashutosh also targeted Lt Governor Anil Baijal, calling him an "agent of the BJP" for not acting on a complaint about attack on Delhi minister Imran Hussain and Delhi Dialogue Commission vice-chairman Ashish Khetan, despite being provided evidence.

The AAP has alleged that the Delhi Police pressured Arvind Kejriwal's adviser VK Jain to change his statement about the alleged attack on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by the party MLAs.

According to the prosecutor, Jain said in his statement that he saw MLAs present at the CM's residence and had no prior knowledge of this.
"I got up from the meeting to go to the washroom. When I returned, I saw MLA Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal were hitting the chief secretary, asking him why he did not work. They pushed him and then held his chin in their hand asking him to work. Suddenly his glasses fell," read Jain's statement.

Arvind Kejriwal's advisor V K Jain has told the police that he had witnessed two MLAs - Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal - hitting the Chief Secretary.
Jain has stated that he started from his home around 11.30pm from Maharani Bagh on Monday and reached the CM's residence at midnight.
