Lekhi flags off Tiranga run in Delhi; close to 1,500 participate

NEW DELHI: Union minister of state for external affairs Meenakashi Lekhi flagged off the Har Ghar Tiranga MP Run on Sunday from PSOI Club, Chanakyapuri.
The event saw the participation of more than 1,500 people and was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Phangnon Konyak. Lekhi said, "The enthusiasm of the people shows how much power and strength lies with the citizens of the country.We have to move forward with the same power and strength to build developed India in 'Amrit Kaal'."
"Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an ongoing celebration to commemorate the 75 glorious years of a progressive independent India. This initiative by the Government of India aims to bring in focus the freedom struggle," she said.
