<div class="section1"><div class="Normal"><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">GURGAON: Film director Raj Kumar Santoshi''s multi-starrer </span><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="" font-style:="" italic="">Khakee</span><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:=""> is in the thick of a legal battle before a Gurgaon court.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">Santoshi has sought criminal action against one Brijan Gaur, who claimed that his Amitabh Bachchan-led box office hit was allegedly based on a story written by him.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">A Gurgaon civil court had rejected Gaur''s plea to stop the screening of the film.
</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">Later, the chief judicial magistrate admitted Santoshi''s counter complaint against Gaur. Santoshi got his statutory statement recorded claiming Rs 50 lakh compensation from Gaur for making "false" allegations of plagiarism against him as well as </span><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="" font-style:="" italic="">Khakee</span><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">''s story writer Sridhar Raghavan.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">Santoshi''s counsel, Vineet Dhanda, said Raghavan''s statement would be recorded on August 14.
