After CM, Kejriwal’s visit to Roshanara Road, assurances of quick repair work

New Delhi: Chief minister Atishi and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal inspected the damaged Roshanara Road in north Delhi on Friday and assured the local residents that repair work will be carried out soon.A few months ago, Delhi Jal Board had dug up the road to lay down a pipeline for the upcoming Chandrawal water treatment plant. The restoration work is, however, yet to take place."We inspected Roshanara Road Extension...People said that this road has been broken for seven-eight months. We will get this repaired soon," said Kejriwal. "I will request CM Atishi to get all the PWD roads in Delhi assessed in the next three-four days," he added.Kejriwal further said that they would ask all the MLAs and ministers to do an assessment of roads in their respective areas. "In the coming few months, we will get all the damaged roads repaired on a war footing so that the people of Delhi do not face any problem," he claimed. "Now that I have come, I will not let the public face trouble," Kejriwal added.Later in the day, the former CM wrote a letter to Atishi, stating, "This year, there has been a lot of rain in the city; therefore, several roads are in poor condition. Please carry out ground inspections with ministers and MLAs to understand which roads are bad and get them repaired immediately."In two days, this was the second time Kejriwal and Atishi took stock of the condition of roads in the city.
