Representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is Kapil Mishra, while the Indian National Congress (INC) has fielded Dr. PK Mishra. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has nominated Manoj Tyagi as its candidate. BJP's Kapil Mishra beats AAP’s Manoj Tyagi.
In the 2020 Assembly elections, the BJP clinched victory as Mohan Singh Bisht secured 96,721 votes (50.6%), defeating AAP’s Durgesh Pathak, who garnered 88,498 votes (46.3%). The close contest highlighted AAP’s strong presence in the region, despite BJP’s win.
