JNUSU polls to take place on September 6, results two days later
NEW DELHI: Elections for Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union will take place on September 6 and the results will be declared two days later on September 8, the election committee announced on Friday.
Filing of nominations will take place on August 27 and the final list will be declared on August 28.
The presidential debate, the most popular aspect of JNU election, will take place on September 4.

The polling will be conducted in two phases — 9.30am to 1pm; and 2.30pm to 5.30pm. The counting of votes will commence at 9pm the same day and the results will be declared after two days on September 8, the election committee said.
The left groups like AISA, SFI and DSF have been fighting the polls together as part of an alliance called the left unity. While the ABVP has been gaining support in the campus.
The Ambedkarite group BAPSA is likely to join hands with RJD’s student wing for the polls.
