new delhi: an hrd manager in hindustan coca cola breweries limited on thursday told the court that the cars and cellphones used by the two accused who are executives of the company, were provided for their official use. deposing as a prosecution witness in the jessica lall murder case, coca cola manager sumitab bhatnagar told additional sessions judge r l chugh the numbers of the tata sierra vehicles allotted to amardeep singh gill (alias tony) and alok khanna. ''in the capacity of being an hrd manager i was looking after recruitment, promotion, dismissal and all other employee related matters,'' bhatnagar told the court. ''all charges relating to official work are paid by the company in respect of the vehicles as well as the cellphones,'' he said. on being cross-examined by a defence lawyer r d rana, the witness said though he offhand did not remember the details of the cars and cellphones, he had looked up the records.
