But this is what happened on IndiGo's

Bengaluru-Kolkata-Ranchi flight

on Sunday after

Union minister of state for aviation

Jayant Sinha boarded the flight at Kolkata.

A flyer, Shreya Pradeep, had boarded the aircraft at Bengaluru to fly to Ranchi. "Since my mother was ill, the cabin attendant gave her a vacant seat 1C (front row aisle, a premium seat). On Kolkata-Ranchi sector, the seat was booked for minister Sinha, who was travelling with his wife. They boarded the plane and when they saw us, they insisted that we remain seated there. They took other seats," an ecstatic Shreya told TOI.

She later tweeted to Jayant Sinha, saying: "Ache din is wen aviation minister gives his 1st class seat 2 me n my ill mother, sits in d eco class himself Thnx Sir."

Sinha repiled, saying, "You are very welcome."
