Javed Ali at Greeshm Utsav: I was worried about low turnout due to the India-Pakistan match

ENERGY KA OVERDOSE: It was a happy day for Javed Ali as the crowd gathered at Kanganheri, Dwarka to watch the singer perform at Greeshm Utsav, organized by Delhi Tourism. The singer, who is on his rozas, put up an energetic performance.
CONFUSED? At the Greeshm Utsav celebration, the singer seemed to mistake Greeshm for greenery and talked about the environment before performing.He said, "Main samajhta hoon ki yeh jo utsav hai, sab logon ke liye bahut important hai, as greenery bahut zaruri hai. Hum sab ko iski pehel karni chahiye, aur kam se kam ek plant toh lagana hi chahiye."

GOOD TURNOUT, DESPITE IND-PAK MATCH: Since the show was hosted on the day the Indian Cricket team was to play the ICC Champions Trophy final against Pakistan, the singer was worried that the turnout at this event would not be decent. To his surprise, however, there was a sizable audience. He said, "Main bahut darr raha tha ki aaj India-Pakistan ka match hai, toh koi aayega ya nahin. Aur upar se yeh jagah thodi door bhi hai. Par yeh Dilliwaalon ka pyaar hi hai jiske liye woh ek artist ko sunne aate hain."
JAVED'S PLAYLIST FOR DELHIITES: Starting with the romantic numbers like 'Jashn-E-Bahara' and 'Ishaqzaade', the singer also sang some of his Sufi numbers. Covering his head with a handkerchief, the singer sang 'Kun Faya Kun' and 'Arziyaan'. He also performed his first song as a composer, 'Rangreziya'.

DILWALON KI DILLI: At the event, Javed said, "Main bhi Delhi se hoon. It gives me immense pleasure when I meet artists from the city in Mumbai. Delhiites ka koi jawab nahin, because Dilli humesha dil waalon ki rahi hai." At the event, there were other performances too, including an Odissi dance performance. Sunita, a resident of Dwarka said, "I have always heard Javed Ali on YouTube. It was great to watch him live. His voice, while performing live, is just as beautiful and melodious as in recorded songs. He is such a talented singer!"
