The protest march, organised by Jamia Students’ Forum (

JSF

), attacked the JNU administration and law enforcement agency for its inability to locate Ahmed.

Khalid Hassan, convenor of the JSF, said, “It is very unfortunate and disturbing to see the insensitivity and non-seriousness of the JNU administration and Delhi Police towards the case.”

Addressing the students, JSF member Meeran Haider said that if students are unsafe in the university campus, then nobody is safe anywhere. He accused the government for “the growing incidents of intolerance towards minorities and Dalits in the country.”

The students plan to meet lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung and request him to set up a high level inquiry into the matter.

Meanwhile, expressing solidarity, the JNU students also marched from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar .
