A glamorous life with a dark twist

Angel Gupta, once a model and actress, led a life filled with glamour but spiraled into crime after her career failed and obsession with a married man, Manjeet, took over her life.

2/7

From nightclub flirtation to fatal obsession

Angel met Manjeet at a Delhi nightclub in 2016. What started as a casual romance turned into a toxic fixation, with Angel determined to eliminate Manjeet’s wife, Sunita.

3/7

Glamour fades, desperation grows

With no work and rent piling up, Angel’s dreams collapsed. Her desperation deepened as she clung to Manjeet, believing removing Sunita was the only way to secure her future.

4/7

Plotting a murder with family help

Angel, Manjeet, and her stepfather Rajeev hired two killers through a driver, planning every detail. They rehearsed Sunita’s route and scheduled her murder around Karva Chauth.

5/7

Digital footprints unravel the plot

A detailed police probe using phone records, CCTV footage, and Sunita’s diary exposed the plan. Weak alibis and forensic clues led to Angel, Manjeet, and the killers' arrest.

6/7

Life sentence, no remorse

On April 28, the court convicted all accused and sentenced them to life. Even in jail, Angel and Manjeet remain emotionally connected, showing little regret for the brutal murder.

7/7

A life taken in cold blood

On October 29, 2018, Sunita was shot near a police chowki while on her way to school. The killers executed the plan with coordination from Angel’s family, who remained nearby during the act.
