As the storm ripped through the national capital, trees thrashed violently while vehicles struggled to navigate through the chaotic traffic. The strong winds associated with this weather event have the potential to wreak havoc on infrastructure in the affected areas.
Slight damage to makeshift houses, walls, and huts expected which could lead to the displacement of residents and inconvenience for those dwelling in such structures.
Adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR (Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad were impacted by the dust storm.

The maximum temperature in Delhi on Friday settled at 39 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The relative humidity oscillated between 47 and 64 per cent during the day, it said.
