Husband arrested for Surajkund murder
FARIDABAD: Almost a week after a pregnant woman's body was found from Surajkund, the police have arrested the deceased's husband for the cold blooded murder. The police say that the accused — Bhupinder Pal Singh alias Lovely — confessed to having strangulated her to death on the way back from Surajkund Mela.
According to the police, Lovely said that he drove his wife Anju to Surajkund in the morning on November 13, and after murdering her, dumped the body on a barren stretch.

To cover up, he then went to the deceased's maternal home to enquire if she had come there. After the body was found by the police, he went with his brother-in-law to "identify" it.
Lovely has been arrested and booked under section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was produced before a duty magistrate and sent to judicial custody.
Anju's body was found on November 13, after which her family had alleged that she was murdered by her husband as he was having an affair with a woman working at his driving school. A post mortem report confirmed that she had been beaten up and strangulated to death.
Anju's father Surinder told the police that two years ago his daughter had become friendly with Lovely and had later eloped with him for which a police complaint had been lodged at Lajpat Nagar police station. But after a compromise he married off his daughter to Lovely on June 18 this year.
Anju, however, discovered that her husband was having an affair with a female employee in the motor driving school run by him. Surinder alleged that frequent quarrels had been reported by his deceased daughter with her husband on this issue and Lovely had got violent with her several times. Anju (20) was a resident of Amar Colony in south Delhi.
