Housewife robbed in Moti Nagar

NEW DELHI: Two persons allegedly gagged a 22-year-old housewife in west district and escaped with Rs 15 lakh from the house on Wednesday evening.
The robbers reportedly entered the house as courier boys. A police officer said the incident happened at A-246, Sudarshan Park in Moti Nagar. Ishal Goel was alone at home with her one-year-old son.
"The miscreants said they had to drop two couriers with her.Goel allowed them to enter. Soon after getting in, both took out their arms," said an officer.
While one was armed with a knife, the other with a country-made pistol. The police suspect the two knew that the amount would be at home.
"Goel’s husband Mahesh had recently decided to purchase some property. The cash was withdrawn to pay the seller," the officer said.
